Teeth

I drew this ridiculous series of teeth on the T tonight. I guess I started with the "sore tooth" because my Invisalign (also new this summer) were sort of bothering my teeth. And then I decided that I needed to draw a bunch of other teeth, in different costumes.

I'm starting to realize that I have a weird need to draw clothes on inanimate objects. First the toast, now teeth.

"The Ugliest Person I Have Ever Seen"

We talk trash about our customers at work all the time, but it's mainly directed at rude, ignorant, or drug-seeking individuals. Meaning, we're not cruel people; we don't sit around making fun of normal customers. Just the ones who are bitchy and rude to us.

So I was really surprised to hear one of my very nice interns whisper to me, "That is the ugliest person that I have ever seen in my life." Wha! That is so rude; a person can't help it if they're just completely physically unattractive! I was getting ready to rebuke him, but when I spied the customer across the pharmacy, I sort of had to agree. The poor guy looked like a real life version of a grown up "Rugrat" cartoon character: he was all teeth and forehead, and had a football shaped head. It was very unfortunate.

Truman and Michael

I did this quick sketch of my nephew, Michael, and his dog, Truman. They have a rather comical and cute relationship with each other. It made me consider doing a series of short animations on them. I really want to do some new animations of my own (haven't done any of my own work since graduation), but I've been stuck without any ideas or inspiration. Whenever I go up to visit Michael, something amusing usually happens between toddler and dog, so I might try that out...

Either that, or something with robots.

The aPETocary logo

Here's the finished logo. The pug is resting on a giant, generic Prozac capsule.

As usual, I like some of the rough sketches more than the finished illustration.

Pugs

My pharmacy intern from work asked me to design a logo for her group's presentation. They're doing a business proposal for a vet pharmacy. She asked that a pug be included in the logo design. Here are some "ruff" sketches that I did.
